Mathematics with music, a world for discovering

Do you think that it is not possible to teach the mathematics with music? you are very wrong, the mathematics and music it has relation from immemorial times and is a great element to teach geomtry in primary Education, that could be teach more faster that other elements as books, as we can see in this video where it´s demostrated the relation between them.

One of the mathematical - musical relations of more showy and interesting Mozart for the teaching is the " Game of dice ". It consists of the composition of a minueto from the assignment of numbers of dice to compases. The combinatorial possibilities of this game are very numerous (more than 45,949 trillions, 11 raised up to 16), it is not necessary to have musical knowledge, just to understand the procedure of the combination and random of the game.

The example of Pipper

In this article I want to express my opinion about our role as teachers, because I think that be a teacher go more beech that teach kwoledge, fo this reason I don´t talk about subjetcs but of the importance to be a real good teacher. 

Unfortunalety nowadays the some teachers are very discerning with child, and this actitude only improve the afraid, and this is bad for child because never get a significative learning, although we have to differentiate the respect than afraid, because in my experiences on hig school many teachers improve the afraid and not the respect.

For this reason I think that teachers have to know how teach at students with enthusiasm, that learn that we have to face our fears and fight to get  our dreaming, as teach Pipper, that it´s a great example to improve the courage in our students.

Video games and geometry

In this article I want to teach the use of the famous game of manicraft, that is a popular game that realy like at students and we can get that they learn more faster the different concepts of geomtry, for example how calculate the volume use this game. With this video we can connet geomtry with real life, i mean, that students could see that geometry it´s present in all aspect of reality, include their favorite veideogame. 

Geometry is funny

In this article I want to explain different activities that can help at teacher to teach geomtry, this activities explain different forms to create a good environment only usin the imagination, without spends many materials, only with our imagination we can do many dinamics activities where students learn with funny acivities, this is some example:

1ºActivity: This activities is very simple, only need some pensil and the help of the teacher to create this. Whit this activity the students can understand the grades of the angles only opening the door. 
This activity can be teach in third cicle of Primary Education. 

                        


2º Activity:  This activity consist in crate figure shapes with small sticks of ice creams and  velcro or glue, then we could print different geomtry figures or use the virtual slate to put the figure. Whit this activity the students can learn the figures with a dinamic and manipulative way. This activity can do for all the cricle of primary, also it´s ideal to frist and second circle of primary.

                                   


3ºActivity: This activity consist in create a geoboard with a carton of crok and thum tacks, the idea it´s that all students have their own carton to do their own figures, this is a good options to all students create their own figures and learn the geometry shapes. To do the geoboard the teachers have to helps at students with an exaple, it´s ideal that teacher realise their own geoboard at the saim time. 

                        


4ºActivity: This activity it´s similar at the last activity but it´s very funny to do with child, this activity consis in realise a human geoboard, to do this we can distruid the class in groups of five where students have to create different kind of geometry shapes, for instance, the teacher said that the group one and two have a cicle, and the group that less time use win. 
I think that this activity it´s motivate for students and could learn more faster that other kind of activities.

                                      

The golden number

The golden number it´s a number that coexist with the humanity because it appears in the nature and from the Greek epoca to the present day in the art and the design. It is the so called number of gold (represented habitually with the Greek letter) or also golden section, golden proportion or golden reason. 
This number is everywhere, in the proportions of the buildings, sculptures, objects, parts of the body, snails, etc. The reason that this number be very important on the world, as explain this video:

Use of Tic in geometry

Learn how to use new technologies is very important to develop the visual thinking in students, for this reason it´s successful that teacher throw some activities with the computers to complete the correct learning in this area, following we have to offer different web site to do this activities:
